A Los Angeles based director, editor, cinematographer and photographer. She recently graduated with a B.A. from Hampshire College where she maintained an interdisciplinary major of Film/Video production and Africana Studies. She has received the Princess Grace HBO Film Award and numerous film festival nominations for her most recent short film Roots in Concrete

Film is her activism tool of choice, she aims give unresolved stories a voice and spark connections within her community. She is currently conducting research on African American familial settings in inner cities. Her goal is to make films that tell stories of trauma experienced black women and their families, not to portray them as victims, but to show their struggle, their empowerment and the joy they are often denied.
